So I know it's been ages since I lasted posted. But I wanted to post this painting I did with a friend who did the line art for it.
It's to the first chapter of Silver Shine's The Window.
hheheh damn, i love her work. Eee, insomniac247 I know I owe some fanart. I'm gonna get my friend to draw something and I'll paint it. I'm just no good when it comes to the line art and thinking up stuff. I'm really sorry, I'm such an ass!!!

Here's a piece I just finished.
Sorta a collaboration.
did the lineart. I did the painting of it.
It was a sketch challenge. The first ten people to comment on her journal got a free sketch.
So I was like one of the very last ones(lucky me). I usually always ask for a fox. But I decided to ask for the next best thing.
Youko Kurama. hehe After she drew it, I asked her if I could paint it. Of course, she said yes.

"Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin died today after being stabbed by a stingray barb. Irwin was off Australia's coast, filming a feature for his daughter's show. "He came over the top of a stingray that was buried in the sand, and the barb came up and hit him in the chest," Irwin's manager John Stainton said.

I feel really bad, I like Steve Irwin. :(

So I was all excited that my work gave me Sunday off.
I'm like "Woot! I can work on my animation!!!"
But what do you suppose happened between 3:30pm to 9:00pm...

Well I'll tell you

I WAS FUCKIN LOCKED OUT OF MY HOUSE!!!!!!

All because I live with a freakin paranoid 60 year old woman. Who has a damn security thing on everyone of her windows. And the one that didn't was locked!!!(the door has this automatic locking system when it's closed and I forgot) ya I know, LAME!!!

As first I thought, "Well, Angel said he'd be back from the car wash. So I guess I'll just wait." This was after I tried the locked window. Keep in mind also that my aunt was gone for the day.

So here I am waiting. I then fall asleep in the backyard for about an hour and half. I wake up and continue to wait till about 5pm. I decide to go out in the front.
There are two boys playing. (you all know how much i LOVE kids) :stab:

So I go to the one neighbor I know, and she's not home. So I ask the two boys playing "Stay on your side of the line" game if they had a cell phone I could use. They of course said No (Stupid me, I should have said House phone.) So I just sit there on the driveway, watching the kids play their stupid game.( Which had turned into Chase). I watch them for a good hour. Secretly hopeing the mean one would fall. Then out of the corner of my eye, I see one of the neighbors that walks her dog everyday(Thank god for old people). So I run over to her and ask if I could use her "house" phone.(I remembered)
So she goes and bring her husband's cell phone. :upset: I call my mom tell her to call Angel and tell him what's going on. I didn't get a chance to tell her that I didn't have my phone and that I was using some guys, cause the phone was dying. So I hung up.

So I go back to my spot on the drive way. Watching the kids. Another hour or two goes by and the man I used the phone from, comes running out. He has his phone and it's my sister Lucy. She's just giving me attitude about how my mom been trying to call my cell (which was left in my room). Blah blah blah. I was like whatever. I couldn't really yell back cause the two kids and the old man were watching me. So it turns out that Angel was in San Bernardino at the Casino!!! WTF??? That's like two hours away.
But he's was on his way and that I need to go in the backyard and wait for him DONT GO Anywhere, my mom says.(Yea, right like that's gonna happen). So I continue my wait there. Surprising not needing to yet use the bathroom. heh
One of the kid's sister comes out and she starts to talk to me. She's 11 and her name is Tyler Totten. That's not all I found out, her two best friends are Elizabeth Brown and some chick name Ashely. Her enemy is the Evil Chance Black (I was thinking, Umm what's up with the last names being colors).
Her parents are divorced, she has two dogs and she want's to be an actress when she grows up. Interesting, Huh?!? Apperantly this kid thought I had ears to spare. Cause she talked off both of mine. Though she was nice and brought me a chair then the grandma came out and ask if I wanted anything like water or if I wanted to come in. I said no, but thank you. I didn't want to impose on them. So the girl stayed with me and we listened to conversations on this radio she had. (heh that was actually fun!)
Around 8 I asked the girl if I could use her phone. She said sure and the grandma came out with her cell phone. (What the hell happened to real phones? )

I call my mom and explained everything about not having a phone etc.
I told her I was out with the neighbors bonding. :)
Angel should be about 30 minutes she told me. So I hang up and give the phone to the grandma. She then asks me if I want to come in or if I again need anything. I say "Can I use your bathroom?" She laughed at me and said of course! LOL
When I come out the grandma was paying the delivery guy and ask me to come in and eat. I again said No thank you. But she insisted and I gave in. :)
So I ended up talking with the grandma and kids and eating dinner with them. It was nice.
I went outside to check to see if Angel was there and he was!!!
So I went back inside and finished my dinner and said my thank yous to them.

So all in all, It was a waste of my time today.
But I probably would have wasted my time on the computer anyway hehe.

I learned that I will NEVER EVER get a alarm system install in my house. I'll just have five dogs, three cats and two hawks flying around the perimeter of my house!!! :)

Also I learned that I like the name Evil Chance Black. Sounds like a good character name. hehe

Ugh, Kelli you would think I would have learned the first time this happened. lol

I have some news that I feel is important enought to post here.
I past my portfolio review!!!
That portfolio took up so much of my creative energy I didn't have enough left over for my midterms. So of course I didn't do to well on those. But hey, there only midterms, right?
There were two teachers grading my portfolio. One loved it, said I was growing in my skill. While the other had some harsh comments, he still past me. SO while I do care about what he said, it's not enough to bother me into asking him why he said that. The things he didn't like were things he doesn't teach. Things he doesn't specialize in. I had given my portfolio to four other teachers before I submitted my portfolio. They said it was great and that I should do fine. SO, I'm not really taking what the other teacher said to heart. I'm just happy I past.
:D

Anyway, I just saw Eight Below. It's a great movie. I love dogs and that movie just makes you love them even more. lol
I wont spoil it for anyone, so just go see it. you'll love it.

Tuesdays. I believe are by far the worst day of the week for me. You know, every quarter it changes. Last quarter it was Thursdays, and that was because of Color Theory and Basic Design. But, even though I hated those classes and struggle through them. The people I met in those classes helped me get through it, because they we’re also having trouble and I felt I was at the same level, like we we’re all learning at the same pace. But now, NOW I have Perspective/ proportions and Typography. They are just so fuckin hard for me. I don’t know, maybe this week was just bad for me…

You know how people put all their anger and pain into their work (Whether it be their music or their writing or in my case just art) when their feeling like shit. It usually turns out great and surprisingly some of their best work…Why in the flying fuck does that not happen to me??? When I feel like shit and depressed, and I have to do my projects, my work comes out like crap, worthy of a D or F, well that’s only in my Typography class. That class is so hard, it’s seems that everyone gets how to do it. Their work is just so amazing. There’s this one guy who is in my class and has already been in this graphic designing field for 22 years.

22 YEARS! WHAT THE HELL, HE’S IN A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT LEAGUE THEN I AM. Not only is he older and mature in his art, but the freakin bastard has experience, it’s not that type of experience you would get by practicing an instrument. It’s the kind of experience I hope to get when I graduate, WORK EXPERIENCE! He has been able to work 22 years in graphic design. That’s so fuckin awesome. Since he has all this experience, he knows stuff. Little tricks of the trade and his work are just breath taking. My work compared to his is just…well I don’t put my work next to his cause I know my teacher will grade lower if he sees his then mine. Heheh I’m not that stupid. I guess what I’m trying to say is that, I feel I’m so incredibly behind everyone else, that guy isn’t the only great and talented artist in that class. More then half are amazing. I find myself struggling to keep up with the rest of the class. I’m really scared, what the hell is gonna happen to me? I need to figure out how to make my art unique, make it so people want it. I’m just at a loss right now, it’s like I’m stuck. LOL like I’m in a bubble and there’s a tiny hole and once I get through that hole I’ll be free and confident. So far the only part of my body that has gotten through that hole is my finger. L

I think what brought this on was; today my typography teacher is having us all redo a project, which is fine cause I wanted to redo it anyway. I went up to him after class to ask him what I should fix and crap. I just said “What should I fix? I was having a hard time understanding the style.” His response; “Study the style. That’s all there is to it.” What the hell, if that was all there was to it, I wouldn’t have fuckin asked. I did look the style up; I went through tons of websites and artist’s crap, trying to figure out this stupid Swiss Typography crap. How is it, that teacher can take up four hours talking about his art and can’t seem to think up more then nine words to fix mine? GAHHHHHHHH! That just made me bitter.

I think what I need to do is just keep at what I am doing, and not give up. They say if you can deal with it through the tough times and most discouraging moments it will be all worth in the end. So I’m gonna see if that’s true and just push through my little bubble.

Oh God!! what a day!!

so you guys know that i go to an art school. well i've be having a hard time in this class called Color Theory. I had to redo this project where i had to paint 24 circles and make them look 3D and have a Harmonious Dyad, Harmonious Triad, Harmonious Tetrad and a Harmonious Hexad. yea it was a bitch to do, the first time around. But my teacher, known to many as The Ass Whole, made me redo it. So instead of 24 i really did 48!! well i pulled some all nighters and i finished it last night and today i went in to see him and he passed it. I WAS SO HAPPY. he also passed another project, which was a plus!! So right now im in a super good mood.

I had this big ass smile on my face. i didnt care what he said. all that mattered was that he passed it. so i was in la la land and didnt hear a word he said. Which was really bad cause he was asking me questions about it, and I had this blank look on my face. lol oh god i tried not to laugh! so he repeated himself alot during our little session. XD

well heres the work i did, to be honest the only real difference i see is that its neater. oh well i dont care. its done and it passed.
